ROLL TIDE! - MILLION DOLLAR BAND ON TOUR

One of America´s most recognized Marching Bands and finest university ensembles will be celebrating its 100 years anniversary with a stately concert tour throughout Italy. Commemorative parades with selected municipal and military ensembles and a final fundraising concert at prestigious Gianni Agnelli Auditorium in Torino will top off this Conceptio & Counter Point co-production.

A NEW DIMENSION OF BALLET

Reknown German choreographer Peter Breuer and his excellent company of ballet dancers created a "firework of emotions" on the occasion of an exclusive Gala evening. With his trendy style of "narrating dance clips" Breuer combined themes as versatile as Mozart and Tango with exciting scenes from famous musicals.

   
         
 

DANIEL HO´S PARADISE COMING TO EUROPE

4-times Grammy Award Winner Daniel Ho takes his European audience on a journey to the sounds of Hawaiian paradise. With his outstanding performance - be it on the ukelele, the piano or in accompaniment from the Ars Sinfonia, be it with hits from his numerous Charts albums or pieces of Classical music - Ho knows how to hijack listeners to the World of exotic music.

   
         
 

MUSIC AGAINST MINE FIELDS

A comprehensive fundraising program in favour of the UN "Adopt-A-Minefield" Campaign in Former Yugoslavia was initiated by the 200-member-ensemble "Voices From The Heart" based in New England. Proceeds from their concert season in the US and their appearances in Croatia and Slovenia resulted in more than USD 48.000 donated to the cause of mine clearance. Press release.

   
         
 

CZECHO-JAPANESE FESTIVITY WITH CHERUBINI

The Budweis Philharmony and their Japanese guests from Wasei-kai Tokyo gather to enrich the cultural life of Southern Bohemia. Cherubini´s Requiem and Mozart´s Symphony No. 40 will be given at Zlata Koruna´s impressing Cathedrale ( see picture ). The production is then to continue to the Orangerie of Vienna´s Schönbrunn Castle.

   
         
 

PONTE MUSICALE TRA CULTURE ( Invito alla Lettura - ROMA )

A music event of exceptional value. The Gakuyu Choir (Tokyo) and the brass section of the Academia Lirica Italiana invited Romans to Castel St'Angelo for a memorable music and cultural experience under the stars. Music as the one and only international language was the motto of a concert first dedicated to popular Japanese lyrics and a selection of Italian Classics. The ensembles then blended into a harmonic music corp for Bruckner's E-minor Mass.

   
         
 

A CONCERT FOR THE NEW SYNAGOGUE IN DRESDEN

Both programme and occasion were heavily emotional when the San Diego Civic Orchestra gave a charity concert at Dresden´s Lukaskirche for the re-erection of the new local synagogue. In cooperation with the Dresden World Trade Center the artists received a number of tributes and a warm welcome from new friends who enjoyed the orchestra´s company also in the "postlude of the concert".
