The ensemble of the Salzburger Kammersolisten was founded in 1970 following a suggestion by the former president of the Salzburg Music Festival and Mozart researcher Bernhard Paumgartner.

With its versatile vocal and instrumental ensemble casts the Salzburger Kammersolisten distinguished themselves through numerous international concert appearances, broadcasts and recordings. Among their successes one will find the performing of one-act operas just as well as the continual representation of their Mozart City at official occasions of the Salzburg Government.

Concert tours took the ensemble to almost all cities of musical interest throughout the world.
